Bromley Cross Football Club Academy (BXA) is a combination of a merger and a partnership, consisting of these three entities. They are:
Bromley Cross FC – A Standalone Academy – Select Soccer Coaching Ltd
Bromley Cross Football Club
Bromley Cross Football Club has been providing the opportunity for adults and children of the local area to play football and maximise their potential since 1981.
Standalone Academy
Formerly in partnership with Atherton Collieries Association Football Club under the same banner & name signified by the name extended to include the word ‘Academy’, The Academy was initially setup to provide a pathway into the Adults game, from u12s onwards, through high level leagues such as:
- Junior Premier League (JPL) – u12s to u16s
- North West Youth Alliance – u17s & u18s (Youth Age)
This partnership ceased in June 2024, the Academy section pull away to be able to fulfil on it’s promise and be able to provide better opportunities for it’s members.
Select Soccer Coaching Limited
With Andy’s extensive experience of football and coaching he has wanted a model which enables young footballers to express themselves.
So initially Friday Futbol Frenzy was created, Now known as Select Soccer Coaching Ltd in Bolton & has links to professional football academies.
Select Soccer Coaching already have players of all abilities attending their coaching sessions where they are enjoying the most magical football experience that currently exists.
Bromley Cross Academy
After obtaining the means to expand their base which will include fantastic facilities, after a number of successful meetings between the three entities, it was concluded on a final meeting on 28th April 2024, that the three would combine, thus Bromley Cross Academy was born!
